Artificial Intelligence, AI, encourages conformism and discourages pioneering research.

Authors submitting a study to a journal usually receive a reply from the editor within less than twenty-four hours. Something like that he read the paper and he feels that it is not suitable for the readers of the journal, or anything of the like. I feel that documents are first read using AI software that performs the first screening without human eye observation. As such, AI encourages conformist work, more of the same type, and discourages original pioneering work that has not been reported in the literature. Are you looking for pioneering breakthroughs? I put my pages in “ResearchGate,” and so far, they have 60000 entries! (Some sources mention that many published articles have about two readers: the author and the reviewer).

I asked Artificial Intelligence AI (He? She? It?):

Why is the full earth image, the “Blue Marble”, uniform, from its center toward the periphery? (It is really nearly uniform).

The former AI version, ChatGPT, says that it is similar to the Moon image. This is an irrelevant reply. The latter version, GPT-4, provides a correct response:

“The uniformity of the full earth image is due to a single event scattering of sunlight. Single-event scattered light is coherent and leads to enhanced back scattering of light, the opposition effect. This is the same reason why all the other full-planet images and their moons are uniform as well.”

How do I know that this response is correct? This is an exact citation from my work, and even a reference is provided. Hurrah, I am artificial intelligence.

From all the information that the AI scans, how does she know that this is the preferred and correct reply? She does not. This reply is the only one that appears in the huge database that the AI scans and addresses the observation of the earth image.

Since the non-artificial intelligence (NAI?) rejects my work, at least, the “crowd wisdom” is for it, and the artificial intelligence (AI) even cites it.
