Friends

Friends:
“Hi Jane,” I said when I arrived to school.
“Hi Lizzy,” She smiled at me. I can’t say if she was happy to see me or not because she always smiles and we barely talk but I want to think she was happy to see me.
“Where is everyone?” I asked. We were the only people at school, except the teachers.
“I don’t know. They are probably decided to skip the school or something.” She answered and keep smile. “I’m surprise you’re not with them. You are always skipping school.”
“Not today. My mom told me last week that if I don’t arrived to all of my classes she’ll punish me and I don’t want it to happen. Last time she punished me I wasn’t able to watch T.V for a month. I don’t want it to happen again. But this is weird, my friends never skipping school without telling me and they are not here.” I said.
“Well this is weird but maybe they are not skipping school. The bell didn’t ring yet.” She said and right after she said it rang.
“Let’s go to class.” I said and we went to English class.

Jane and I were the only students at school today. I went home sad, why didn’t they tell me they are planning on skipping school today? When I arrived home and opened the door all of my friends jumped while they are Shouting: “Happy Birthday!”
“It’s not today.” I said. Didn’t they come to school because they thought it my birthday?
“What do you mean?” Clara asked. Clara is one of my best friends.
“I mean my birthday is next week.” I said and started to laugh.
“Well then, there is only one thing I can say now.” She said. “Happy early birthday!”
