Heart Of a Dragon – chapter 2

"Mindey!" Ian called, happily.
"Ian, you're finally here!" she called.
She was taller than what Ian remembered.
She was wearing her neckless, which he baught for her for her fourteen years old birthday, and it made him happy.
Her hair was falling into her suspenders, and were like a frame to her quite and peacfull eyes.
"So, tell me everything, Did you find the source of this disease?"
"Well, I'm sorry to tell you that I couldn't find a thing. All I've got are only rumors about a stupid flower."
"Well, I've heard rumors as well." said Mindey.
"What have you heard?" asked Ian.
His voice could have shown how intrested he was.
"Well, I've heard the same stupid ideas, of a monster down the Berligian lake."
"Another monster?" asked Ralf. "Well, everytime something is not right, someone must creat a monster to settle down every piece of truth. Don't believe to what you can not see."
"Well, I didn't believe to this stupid rumor as well." said Mindey, waving her hand dismissively.
"So why have you mentioned it?" asked Ralf, gazing at his daughter.
"I don't really know." she said.
"So, dad, Ian, why wouldn't we celebrate Ian's return with a nice glass of beer for each of us in John's brewery?" suggested Mindey.
"Beer will be great" said Ian, smiling his usual smile, that made all the girls in a radius of twenty meters to melt.
Ian was a beautiful youth, yet he himself didn't really pay attention for the way he looks.
He didn't even comb his hair, let alone wearing fancy clothes. He liked the simpleness. He enjoyed working with his dad, building huts or structions.
He didn't even thought about searching the one and only. For his eyes, girls were boys with long hair, which usually stays at home and not working.
The cause for his point of view was probably the fact that his sister – Mindey, was a his sister. She was a wonderful person, as a friend and as a soldier.
Now she had a vacation at home after she was getting hurt there in few fights across Allmaner's borders.
"Well, would you like to come with us, daddy?" asked Mindey.
"Well, I do enjoy make sure that John is getting livelihood." said Ralf, smiling.
"So, come!" Said Mindey.
