Do you want to be immortal?
Think about that, what a life?
You can stay to see all the new technology, you would see every Astronomical event, like full eclipses, red moon and also see Mars so close that you may think that there are two moons.
What about the culture?
If you are truly immortal, you can also see how the culture is changing and maybe give your ideas and change the History.
You are become invincible, nothing can destory you.
Your blood is no longer in need, so you can't get hurt.
Your heart may stop beating, you are still alive.
One time, I met a magic battle with a tide dwarf in it. that offered me a deal, the best deal I ever had, by the way.
He pruposed me that deal:
He'll make a dream of mine come true, while I'll set him free.
I asked him to be immortal.
I set him free and he waved his hand.
Nothing. I didn't felt anything.
Only after 10 years, when all my friends looked older, I still looked as a teenager.
Same voice, same face, same hight, but I wasn't care.
I was glad that I'm immortal.
I also fell in love. She was so beautiful, and we both together was in love, but I wasn't grewing up, and she didn't understand.
I had to bend her. I became a wandered.
Why?
I couldn't tell anybody about the fact that nothing can kill me.
I was alone, I was crying for hours in caves.
I was so alone, and so sad.
I didn't thought about it when I asked it. I didn't thought for three steps later.
Where was the sting of my life? Where was the beautiful part?
All the same. Teenager that wander around the world, living in caves, but at least he is immortal.
