Sandcastles in the sand

Met you long ago,
Didn't know how far I would fall.
My friends said that I was just a fool,
Because you were older and they though you're not cool.
Together we were going to travel the world,
From Athens to Montréal.

And now I'm building sandcastles in the sand.
Thought I could fly if you held my hand.
Eternity turns to black and white,
It was the greatest week I've ever had in my life…

You were so close to me,
Thought we'd spend together the eternity.
On our favourite bench,
We'd sit, and you taught me French.
You were so awesome; I've got no one instead,
I hate my life, it's so unfair…

And now I'm building sandcastles in the sand.
